Saugerties AYSO Volunteer Positions....The following is a list of volunteer positions we currently have a particular need for. On any of our registration days, come by the volunteer table and fill out a form. Remember, it's for the kids!Head Coach - Responsible for running the team practices and making line ups for games. No experience needed! We have a coaches clinic and booklets to help you along the way. Assistant Coach - Responsible for assisting the head coach. No experience needed! A clinic and pamphlets available to help you also. cover the head coach when and if he/she is not available. Referee - Responsible for assisting the head coach. No experience needed! A clinic and pamphlets available to help you also. cover the head coach when and if he/she is not available. Field Setup – Setting up fields one day prior to season and take down & put away equipment at the end of the season. The more volunteers, the easier it is for everyone. Registration Committee – Work once during the three days of registration. Publicity Committee – When needed, contact newspapers or deliver flyers about our program to schools. Keyboarding – Work once during the 3 days of registration, entering player info into the computer. Team Parent – I will be a team parent for my child’s team. My job will be to schedule half-time refreshments, help with cancellation calls, & distribute team uniforms and flyers. When possible, we have 2 on a team. Board Member – Work with other volunteers on the board to help implement the soccer program in Saugerties. Snack Bar Coordinator – Make sure that the snack bar has 2 assigned parents throughout the day. Snack Bar Worker – Put in a little extra time. Help open or close, can work some weeknights. Division Coordinator – Call coaches from an age division with information when needed. Post Flyers & Notifications – Anytime we need to spread the word about an AYSO event. Youth Coach/Referee – Any child between the ages of 10-18 is encouraged to become a youth referee. Special training classes will be available along with some incentives.
