Saugerties Soccer After Registration....

Whew! I've Registerd... Now What Happens?

What else does my child need?
In addition, you need to obtain:   • shin guards - Mandatory - (visit link)
  • proper footwear - (visit link)
  • soccer ball - check your division for ball size
  • water bottle

What's the Board doing?
Immediately after the last registration date, your board begins the process of putting the teams together for the upcoming season. When this is completed, the uniforms will be ordered and the coaches will be notified.

When do the coaches get their teams?
Coaches should expect to receive their team rosters in Mid-August.

When do the players get called?
Coaches can start calling the players as soon as they receive their roster. Teams may begin practice in August. They will give you all the information you will need in regards to practice times and location. Each coach sets his/her own practice days, time and location.

It's late into August and my child has not been called. What do I do?
Please do not panic if you see teams practicing and your child has not been called. Not all teams begin practice at the same time. The very young teams, in particular, do not always begin practice in August. Also, some coaches may be out of town. If your child has not been called by August 31, you can email chaig@valleycourier.net or call 914-466-8775.

How often are practices and games?
Practice times are determined by your child's coach. Weather permitting, games will be every Sunday and usually once during the week. The season starts with the first games played on the first or second Sunday in September. Games will be played at the Saugerties Soccer Complex.

Refund?
NO REFUNDS will be issued except for the following: The child is injured and unable to play or for cases of medical necessity (Doctor's note must be submitted with refund request for either instance). All requests for a refund must be submitted in writing and accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope.
* Refund requests will only be accepted until Sept. 1. After Sept 1 refund requests will be denied as player expenses at that point cannot be refunded from AYSO.
** If you are granted a refund, we will withhold the cost of the uniform from your refund amount.

Late Registration?
Late registration begins after our last registration in June. We take late registration applications until the middle of the season. The Late Registration payment is deposited only if the child is registered. More info can be found on our late registration page.

Please Remember...
AYSO is a parent-based volunteer organization established to provide a positive experience for our children. Go to the games. Learn the rules. And remember - no one is perfect. Be tolerant when referees, players and coaches make mistakes, we know they're tolerant when you make a mistake.
