Saugerties Soccer Cancellations....

Why do you cancel the soccer games, the kids don't mind playing in the rain?
Sorry, It is not our decision.

What about Lightning/Thunder?
If lightning is seen (at any distance) or thunder is heard, the fields will be cleared immediately.
We will wait 30 minutes after the last lightning flash or thunder clap before resuming play or practice.
There are no exceptions to this policy!

Why does it take so long to cancel games?
It doesn't take long at all, it just takes a second to make the decision.

When does the decision get made?
Depends!
• When the forecast is for continuing rain storms, we will cancel early.
• When we've had a lot of rain, and the weather looks like it has the potential for the fields to dry up enough to play, we make the decision later (probably one hour before kickoff).
